Bleeding Gums
Many patients who have gum disease experience bleeding gums when they brush or floss. When you notice bleeding gums and that you do not have any serious dental injuries, this can be a strong indicator that you have gum disease. Bad Breath
If you have persistent bad breath, it can be a strong indicator of gum disease. This is usually because of the injuries or infections in your mouth producing a liquid that usually has a foul smell.
Shifting or Loose Teeth
When you have gum disease your teeth can become loose and shift from their position. This is because your gums may have receded and can no longer hold your teeth firmly in their pockets.
