Your Dentist Can Make You Look Younger

Posted on 6/6/2022 by Southern Family Dental Care
Your Dentist Can Make You Look YoungerTeeth do not wrinkle, but they do exhibit indications of age. Fifty percent of respondents say the first thing they notice about someone is their grin. So, if you want to seem younger and healthier, start with your teeth! Brush your teeth after each meal, floss every day, and visit your dentist every six months for a check-up and cleaning. Even the finest preventative efforts, however, cannot stop the natural aging process of the teeth – and this is where your dentist can help you seem 10 to 15 years younger.

Whiten Your Teeth

Shiny white choppers make your whole face look younger, just like your eyes indicate youthfulness. Our teeth naturally get darker with two causes. The first is that they collect color from foods and beverages. This may be avoided by cleaning your teeth after every meal and drink. Our teeth turn yellow as we age, regardless of the color they absorb from food. The tooth bleaching procedure does not appear to be "permanent." The whitening is permanent, but because the teeth continue to yellow as they age, it must be repeated. No matter how carefully you care for your teeth, they will remain yellow. It is the most effective method for achieving a deep and comprehensive color change that may add years to your appearance.

Straighten Your Teeth

Even if you start with completely straight teeth, mesial drift will lead them to shift over time. Crowded teeth are an instant sign of age, and teeth straightening may sometimes take 10 to 15 years off your face. Crowded teeth also increase the risk of tooth disease, early tooth loss, and gum recession, all of which age you and demand costly dental treatment.

Disease Proof Your Mouth

It is important to brush after each meal and to floss daily to prevent aging teeth. Ensure that you visit your dentist every six months for a professional cleaning and examination to ensure that your gum height is maintained. Forgetting to floss? You should floss daily. Without flossing, food remains between your teeth. As a result, your gums become inflamed. It may develop into gingivitis, which is associated with gum recession, tooth loss, and possibly heart disease.
